Knit one, Purl one, Slip one, Chain one.

Well, I can’t believe that we have reached the end of January.  I rashly decided that I would try to do a post a day, and I’m still here at the end of the first month!  In all honesty, I didn’t think I’d make the first week, so this is as much a surprise to me as it may be to you.  I thought I’d celebrate by telling you about one of the lovely shops on Etsy that you may not have seen before.

‘Living in Cornwall is magical – the patchwork fields, open skies, and awesome seascapes can’t fail to inspire.’

The above words are from the profile of an Etsy friend and member of Craftbritannia.  I have to admit that it made me giggle a bit, as my memory of Cornwall is very different, however, it is obvious that it serves as inspiration for SixSkeins.

The seascapes are evident in the colours and patterns of her stock.  For instance

Aren’t these fingerless gloves pretty?  You can see that they are beautifully made, and look very comfortable.

The coast, too, is the inspiration for this lariat and the beads are reminiscent of the open skies.

Patchwork fields can be seen in this choker/headband

However, inspiration obviously goes further than that.

Generously, apart from making these beautiful items patterns are also provided so that you can produce your own item.

How about making this lovely little blanket for a new arrival

or making yourself a bag.

There are other patterns on offer too, and you can find them here.

Clicking any of the above photographs will take you to the item, but of course, there is much more on offer, and you really need to take a good look at her shop.  Go on, spoil yourself.
